Kumeu River ESTATE Chardonnay 2022
Called “White Burgundy in Kiwi clothing” by Neal Martin and "an Auckland Pearl" by Julia Harding MW, no New World producer has received such critical acclaim over the last few years as Kumeu River. It’s no surprise: this is a New Zealand Chardonnay producer crafting wines of Grand Cru quality at village wine prices. And the connection to Burgundy is apt: these wines are dead ringers for top white Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet or Meursault, without losing their own sense of identity. Kumeu River Wines is New Zealand's top Chardonnay producer and best known globally.
Kumeu River Estate Chardonnay is the flagship white from the winery. It is made from grapes grown on six different vineyard sites in Kumeu and is consistently one of New Zealand's greatest dry, full bodied whites with outstanding freshness and complexity. It is drawn from six different vineyard sites in the Kumeu Region. They are particularly careful in selecting only the very best grapes from these vineyards for the Kumeu River Estate label.
This wine has fragrant citrus and peach notes that complement complex butter and toast characteristics. The texture is supple with a beautifully fresh balancing acidity on the finish.

Delivery
We deliver nationwide and offer a quick and convenient service.
How much does it cost?
Local delivery is free of charge within 35 miles of Nailsworth when ordering 12 full-size wines or more.
Nationwide delivery is charged at £12.95 per case of 12 full-size wines.
Vinotopia Wine Club members receive a monthly free nationwide delivery as part of their membership.
Please note that for remote parts of the country, such as 'highlands and islands' the delivery may take a couple days longer and may cost more than £12.95 per case. Please get in touch for a quote
How long does it take?
Typically two or three days. But experience warns us not to promise that this will always happen, so if you need something by a certain date, give us a ring, and we will do our best to ensure it happens.
What time will it arrive?
Usually deliveries take place between 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
Do I need to be at the delivery address when my wine arrives?
Not if you have told us that your wine can be left somewhere for you. Make sure you leave clear instructions when you place your order - there is an opportunity to do this when you pay. Alternatively, the driver will leave a card with a telephone number for you to ring to rearrange delivery another time, following which you must do so within 3 days or the wine will come back to us.
Finally...
When you’ve got hold of your wine, do inspect it as soon as possible. In the extremely unlikely event that something is broken or missing, let us know straight away so that we can sort it out for you.
